How do I release results to students?
Release the AI evaluation, rubric score and your written feedback to students, together or one at a time.
Students see their results only once you release them. There are three: the AI evaluation, the rubric score and your written feedback. Each one is released on its own, and anything you release can be hidden again.
Before you release
AI evaluation: check it first. See How do I read the AI evaluation?
Rubric score: if the task has a rubric, click a level for each criterion under Rubric Score on the student’s page. Your marks save as you go.
Written feedback: type your comment under Written Feedback on the student’s page. It saves as you type.
Releasing results
Students who don’t have a result yet are skipped. For example, a student with no rubric score is skipped when you release rubric scores.
To hide a result again, tick the students and click Hide results, or click Hide on the student’s page.
Showing the AI evaluation straight away
To let students see their AI evaluation as soon as it is written, turn off Hold for educator review on the task’s Finalise tab. You won’t get to check it first. You still release the rubric score and your feedback yourself.
What students see
Released results appear on the student’s results page straight away, next to their conversation or submitted work. They can download a PDF of their conversation and anything you have released. In Draft Mode, they can also download their writing as a Word document.
Downloading and posting results
Download all transcripts on the task page gives you one PDF per student. These PDFs include the AI evaluation and rubric score even if you haven’t released them, so check one before you pass it on.
Releasing results doesn’t post anything to Canvas or another LMS. For students who joined through your LMS, tick them on the task page and click the Post to button, which names your LMS.
